She is one of Canada’s most celebrated Indigenous Hoop Dancers and she will be one of the great attractions of the VIP Gala Opening Reception for the 10th Pan American Food and Music Festival in Toronto. Born in Wiikwemkoong, Manitoulin Island, she is an inspirational seven-time champion hoop dancer and a two-time World Champion Hoop Dancer.
Lisa Odjig is the first woman in the history of the Annual World Championship Hoop Dance Contest to win the title of World Champion Hoop Dancer.
